What are invitationals?
- A special swim meet that your swimmer will need to have a qualifiying time for. More information to come.

Where do I find out if my child qualifies for
any of the invitationals?
- Meet results are posted around the pool and on the website. Each event will have a swimmer's time along with an indicator next to their name on which invitational they qualify for.
- Swimmers that qualify will be listed here.

How do I pay for invitationals?
- You can purchase online on the Swim Shop page or at the Swim Shop on Saturday mornings.

Does my swimmer participate in
Divisionals?
- Yes, all swimmers are expected at Divisionals. It's just like the other meets but instead of against one team, it is against all the other teams in our division at once. This is our league championship.

What if I need to let the coach know something
about my child or have questions for the coach?
- Parents are encouraged to leave a message in the Coach's book that is sitting on the check-in table at practices. Please also write your cell number or email address so that a response can be sent back to you.

Does my child need to try out for the swim
team?
- Only requirement is to be water safe

What is Rookie Camp?
- Any new swimmer to the team has to go through rookie camp to become familiar with the team, strokes, and what it means to be an Otter

How many volunteer hours do I need?
- 3 Blue Jobs
- 3 Gold Jobs
- Check the website to see how many volunteer hours you have or to sign up for more

What else can I volunteer for outside of the
list of jobs?
- Always keep an eye for Board Members at the swim meet, if we have openings we will be looking for others to fill in.

What happens if my child needs to miss a meet?
- Write it in the coaches book located at the check in front desk at practices

Is there a requirement for the number of
practices?
- As many as possible, all would be preferred
- What does my child need for a swim meet?

When do we need to arrive for swim meets?
- 7AM for circle in
- 7:15 AM warm up

Can we leave once my child has completed their
events?
- Yes, if you are volunteering for that meet, please be sure you have fulfilled your responsibilities for that meet

What do we need to do once we get to the meet?
- Circle in begins at 7AM, this lets the coaches and officials know your swimmer is there; then find the volunteer coordinator and check in

What happens if a relay event during the meet
gets scratched or changed?
- The coaches should let the swimmers or tent parent know of the changes

Where does the money go for registration,
merchandise and food?
- Money received goes directly back into Otter operations. This includes coaches, facilities, life guards, awards, equipment upkeep, etc.
- Is there a rule book for swimmers I can reference?
- Where do I find out if my child has been disqualified and why?
- When are ribbons available from the swim meet?
- Ribbons can be picked up the following Monday at swim practice.
- Look for one of our board members who will be handing them out.
